SCOTT WETTER RETIRES

Lieutenant Commander Scott Wetter recently retired from the U. S. Coast Guard after 28 years of service. Scott has been actively involved with Mobile International Festival since he volunteered to be part of the festival family. He has taken responsibilities in various committees. Foremost to these responsibilities is bringing in “Coasties” to volunteer during set-up date and help out in security and cultural booths during the three-day festival. His wife, Alex, a school teacher from Brietling Elementary School, is from Costa Rica. Their two daughters, Ariana and Elena, sing in the MIF Children’s Chorus.
Family and friends were on
hand to wish him “good luck” on his retirement party.
