MIF Gears Up for the 25th Anniversary
25 years is an important milestone in an organization like Mobile International Festival. Year-round activities have been planned to celebrate the 25th anniversary. The celebration officially kicks off this November and ends next year on November 20-22 with the annual Christmas and Holiday party on December 8, 2008 as the final event.
A committee was formed to come
up with ideas that will include the many members in our community that
represent the different cultural groups. A letter was sent to each of
these cultural groups to help celebrate with MIF by honoring and recognizing
their involvement and the 25th year. The activities approved will revolve
around education, art and culture. These
activities were unveiled in the recent general membership meeting on August
6th. A tentative list was distributed at the meeting. As activities are
confirmed and finalized, these will be added to the list. The final list
will eventually be distributed to everyone.
